Looks like the word is out and Wolfman has requested to sing “Roar” by Katy Perry at Funding Neuro’s party night 29th October .
We think he would be better singing “What makes you beautiful” by One Direction.
Even though David Jones MD of Blue Juice events had difficulty in deciding which song he wanted to sing,
this did not stop the Hard Rock Xmas party bursting into song. With the tables set, the mic tested and the lights on the party went from strength to strength.
Not only did we have endless requests from the audience to get up on stage to become a Rock Star on the night, but we also had a request from a drummer to join in with the band and a mouth organ player performing Superstition by Stevie Wonder.
With 3 sets under Rockaoke’s belt, Singer’s galore and dancing till the early hours of the morning it was time to pack the van and begin the journey back home. Already planning Xmas 2016 – can’t wait.
Against the odds, heavy snow, traffic chaos, road closures, incidents galore could not stop Rockaoke entertaining the Xmas party goers at the Hard Rock cafe in Glasgow. So with the lights on and a full house the party burst into action.
The stage was set, the band ready, and the party guests began to decide which one of the 250 songs they would like to sing, up on stage with the live band, ROCKAOKE.
It was non stop all night, so many guests enjoying 3 mins of fame, feeling like a rockstar with the World Famous ROCKAOKE as their band for the night – it doesn’t get better than this…….
Emma, our lead singer / MC for the night guided, encouraged and accompanied all our keen super-stars through the night with full support from a great band.
Rocking with Rockaoke at the Hard Rock is the place to be and we now look forward to next Saturday when we do it all over again.
Great night last Saturday at the Hard Rock Cafe Xmas party in Glasgow. Thanks to all the staff for making the event such a fantastic night and more importantly to all who jumped on stage and became a rock star overnight, you know who you are…. We applaude you.
We are all looking forward to this Saturday for our next installment of Rockaoke performing at the Hard Rock.
Great food, great music, great entertainment – what more can you ask for?
Last Sunday night, Rockaoke played at the Fox @ Excel in London for the charity “Fight for Sight”.
It never seases to amaze me how generous people can be when asked to give to such worthy causes. Not once was there a shortage of individuals prepared to climb on stage with the band, place the mic in their hand and live the dream right from kick off at 19:30 through till midnight.
Here we see Jon and Matt proudly showing off their “Fight for Sight” T shirts. Dan in the background trying to get in on the act.
Dan is the man, strutting his stuff, and as the song sheets came flooding in, the money raised continued to grow. Songs on the night included Angels by Robbie Williams, Superstition by Stevie Wonder, Hey Jude by the Beatles and Rolling in the Deep by Adele – they would all have been proud.
Just wanted to share a few images to provide a flavour of the recent P.A. Showcase we attended in Aberdeen.
The event was held at the Aberdeen Convention Centre and over 120 companies exhibited thier products, including Event companies, Venue’s, Travel companies, Golf courses, Distilleries, Spa’s, Health and Beauty the list was endless.
It was a great opportunity to meet with the many PA’s who attended and it was also fantastic to see a few brave individuals who picked up the mic and lived the dream by accepting the invitation to be lead vocal with the band Rockaoke.
Thanks to Harry, Emma and Jon for travelling all the way from Sheffield to provide a taste of what the Rockaoke experience is all about.
One of the highlights of this year’s ROCKAOKE gig list was an appearance at the Ryder Cup 2014 Celebration Party at Gleneagles. It was a fabulous night and a great honour for the band to be asked to play their part in passionate European celebrations.
The band were invited by multinational drinks-brands giant DIAGGEO who were sponsoring the celebrity-studded after party. With the likes of Alan Hansen, Kenny Dalglish and Alex Ferguson representing the World of Sport, First Minister Alex Salmond from the Political arena and actors Brendan Carroll and James Nesbitt (who has Rockaoke previous), there were a number of potential Rock Superstars in the audience.
However, it was left to the golf legends themselves to steal the show. Miguel Angel Jimenez, Spanish hero of Ryder Cup victories past, was joined onstage by victorious current players Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter in a distinctly average but barnstorming and well-received rendition of “Hey Jude”.
The party was started early by THE JONES GANG, a superb rock band led by legendary drummer Kenney Jones (Small Faces, Faces, The Who) and featuring bassist Rick Wills (Foreigner, Bad Company) alongside the excellent vocal talents of Jim Stapley who later joined ROCKAOKE on stage 3 times! Here’s an excerpt of his performance of “Under The Bridge” by Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Then it was over to ROCKAOKE who rocked out until the wee small hours. With a lot of help from their friends. The Ryder Cup 2014 Celebration Party was certainly a celebration to remember!
